God’s Grace

In his letter to the Ephesians, Paul writes “each of us was given grace according to the measure of Christ’s gift.” Grace is the sign of God’s loving character and we receive grace, not due to our merits, but due to God’s loving kindness. Christ sacrificed his life to make God’s grace available to all people.

Paul also writes that Christ gives us specific gifts which manifest as the talent, passion, and aptitude for the great variety of tasks the building up of the body of Christ requires. One of the best ways to know what your unique gifts are is to identify and embrace the things that bring joy and fulfillment, both to your own heart and for the benefit of others.

I invite you to reflect during worship or in your personal prayer time this week on the measure of Christ’s gift of grace and on the specific ways God is calling you at this time to offer your unique gifts for the benefit of the church and the world.

Faithfully,

Pastor Lori+
